Gemini Twin

David Hockney and me

i wish i had the pure & purer passion of the queer
(sally pushed her tongue inside my ear)
and never giggled -
and never shivered with the fear
of mechanics & dimensions
the sweat & the crack.

laughter is a beast with two backs.
smile reveals the teeth behind the lips.
wink pulls the muscles when you sleep.
giggle is the dribbling & the quail.

i wish i had the pure & purer passion of the queer
my tongue inside his mouth would stroke his teeth
my body on his body know no fear
of engulfment.
our ugly dried-up bodies not compared -
though the bones beneath the skin would rub & tear.
